NFPA 13 suggests adjusting water supply data used in sprinkler demand calculations as appropriate but making too large an adjustment can ultimately create just as many problems as making one that is too small. This presentation summarizes some of the factors that should be considered for assessing adjustments as well as potential negative consequences of adjusting water supply data too aggressively.
